Who we are:

We are James and Esther Landers, the husband and wife team behind Next Door Digital 😉 We are so blessed to be able to do what we love for a living, while raising our two beautiful boys to chase their dreams from day one.

We are introverts living in an extroverted world. We meet new people and fall in love with them on a daily basis, but every time we have to run a professional phone call, our hearts beat a little faster ;P We never don’t feel everyone’s eyes on us at the front of the ceremony.

We are nerds. I see videos all the time about photographers who are self-taught and don’t understand the technical terms. That’s not really us. We graduated together with a bachelor’s degree in digital media arts. We’ve directed on film projects, worked for our university’s media services, captured hundreds of recitals, served in media at multiple churches, and dabbled in all types of projects. Weddings weren’t something we stumbled on. We fell in love with this and chose to pursue it with our whole hearts ❤

We are believers. God has brought us through hell and given us a life that we never could have imagined for ourselves. We owe absolutely everything to Him and wouldn’t be who we are today if it wasn’t for our faith. On the same note, we are the type of believers that believe Love is actually the greatest of things. We do our best to love everyone we come in contact with. Not just saying we love you and trying to convert you, but genuinely loving the people we are given with whole hearts and leaving judgement out of it.

In our free time, we love to spend time with family, watch movies, play games (video games and board games), listen to audiobooks, play DND, and visit new places. Our favorite games are Minecraft, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Oblivion, Codenames, and Qwirkle. If that doesn’t tell you something about our personality, I don’t know what will ;P

Why we’re starting a blog:

We are writing this blog for several reasons, outside of increasing our website’s SEO ;P Here are a few:
Connecting more with our clients and friends, answering some FAQs, and hopefully getting some conversation going. It’s our dream that eventually, some people will start enjoying these and starting conversations so we can meet new friends and have an online community of helpful tips and fun connections ❤ To start out, drop some topics you would love to see on this blog in the comments, as well as some things we have in common!
